Inducting Institution: Meharry Medical College

Dr. Cherae Farmer-Dixon exemplifies Meharry Medical College’s mission to “Worship God through service to mankind” by performing extraordinary acts of service with dependability and commitment.

After graduating from her undergraduate studies she received two degrees from Meharry, and is now the Dean of Dentistry at Meharry. She immerses herself in published research dealing with oral health disparities, low-income children, community outreach and intervention, and works tirelessly to address inequities within minority dental school enrollment.

In addition, Dr. Farmer-Dixon is a servant leader who has volunteered and provided free dental care to under-served populations on mission trips to Jamaica, Belize, the Dominican Republic, and health initiatives throughout inner-city and rural counties in middle Tennessee.
