TICUA Resources and Services Guide

The Guide is designed to more fully engage our member institutions with the resources and services offered by TICUA. It serves as a concise overview of the TICUA website (www.ticua.org). We consider the website our “colleague” at TICUA because it provides a wealth of information to our members 24 hours a day and seven days a week!

TICUA Member Site: Social Link

Social Link, TICUA’s membership website makes it possible for members to connect and collaborate. Welcome! Let’s get started...

  • Sign in to our website using the "Sign In" link at the top of this page. On your first time signing in, use the default sign-in information you received via email

  • If you are new to your institution, you may also use the “Register” link to create an account.

Explore TICUA Groups

TICUA Groups function as the primary way to use Social Link and interact with colleagues across the state. Through groups, you can participate in forum discussions, access resources, and connect with group members.

  • Start to explore TICUA Groups by clicking on Groups in the Red Menu Bar. Your groups will appear here.

  • Other TICUA Groups you can join will be listed on the right-hand side of the page. If you would like to join a group, click Request so TICUA staff can approve and add you to the group.

  • Get Active! Post in a forum, explore resources, or reach out to other group members.

Participate in a Group Forum

Group forum discussions enable TICUA members to collaborate and connect in an easy way.

  • Subscribe to a Forum to receive updates about the discussion. To do that, follow these steps:

    • Click on “Forums” at the top of the group page

    • Click on a Forum Title

    • Click on Actions in the right hand corner

    • Click on "Subscribe to Instant Updates"

  • Stay up to date on forum discussions. See Forums to which you are subscribed in place, by clicking on Quick Links” in the Red Menu Bar, drop down Forum Subscriptions.

  • Pose a question by starting a new topic. Have a question for the group or want to start the conversation? Each forum is already set up under the title, "General Discussion"-- click on it and once inside the group forum, you are able to start a new topic by clicking on "+New Topic."

Message Group Members

  • At the top of the Group homepage, in the Actions menu in the top right, select Message all members.  By selecting this option, you can communicate with other members of the group.  Members will be sent an email with a live link to the message.
  • Members can read the message and then send a message, as appropriate.

Access Group Resources

  • At the top of the Group homepage, click on Resources icon. If no documents or resources appear, then no group resources have been added yet.

Connect with Group Members

  • The Directory is a powerful tool to find and connect with other TICUA member institution staff. Go to the Directory button in the Red Bar Menu at the top of any page to search.
