TICUA is working with several national higher education associations to urge Congress to double the Pell Grant. This would increase the student grant to $13,000 per year for the neediest students. Currently, there is bi-partisan support for the Pell Grant and we see it as the most equitable way for the Biden administration to reach their goal of providing free public university education for families with gross annual earnings below $125,000.

Doubling the Pell Grant will provide a more level playing field for the our membership to compete for students in the midst of a "free public university" environment.

As a result, TICUA has created a Give 'em Pell toolkit! The toolkit is packed with action item icons, promotional videos, and social media messages.
