After graduating from Carson-Newman in 1962, the Morristown native went on to build an automotive empire in East Tennessee.
Today, Russell is a retired, successful business owner turned philanthropist where his focus and mission is to financially support charitable, educational, and religious purposes through his organization, East Tennessee Foundation.

and its citizens.
