| | | | | “Our partnership with Carson-Newman University has been extremely beneficial for Hamblen County Schools. We have worked collaboratively with the university to address the needs of our students regarding both quality teaching candidates and early post-secondary opportunities.
With their help, we have been able to fill critical teacher needs on short notice, often in hard to fill high school subjects. Carson-Newman continues to work closely with our Department of Instruction to provide innovative programs to address our needs around English as a Second Language teacher certification. They have also worked closely with us to open EPSO opportunities for students in our Teaching as a Profession programs at both our high schools.” - Brantley Smith, Assistant Superintendent in Hamblen County |
