TICUA Spotlight: King University Graduate Katherine Paterson 
Two Time Winner of the Newbery Medal for Bridge to Terabithia and Jacob Have I Loved, Author of More than 30 Books, Library of Congress Pronounced Her a Living Legend Selecting Institution:King University King University seeks to produce graduates who have a “passion for serving God, the Church, and the world,” and Katherine Paterson has exemplified service in her many roles. After graduating from King in 1954, Paterson began a lifetime of journeys and moves, and in each place she has served as an articulate and enthusiastic ambassador for her alma mater. She has voiced her indebtedness to the university for her development as a writer. She is the author of more than 30 books, including novels for children and young people, picture books, Christmas stories, and non-fiction. She has twice won the Newbery Medal and seven film or television adaptations of her stories have been made.
