John Drake, a Bethel University graduate, has been named the new chief of the Metro Nashville Police Department. He credits the criminal justice program at Bethel for helping him reach the top spot at the police department. 

"I want to say thank you to Bethel for all that it's done to pave the way for me and people like me," Drake said in a press release. "I would never have gotten where I am today if I had not received my degree from Bethel."

Drake graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bethel University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Service. He beat out over fifty other candidates vying for the position.
