Dr. Shana Stoddard, assistant professor of chemistry at Rhodes College, had her freshman students working remotely on therapies for coronavirus last spring. The students designed antivirals and created guidelines that could help make other researchers’ work more potent. Their research was recently accepted for publication in the journal Viruses.
