TICUA member institutions pride themselves on being a leading contributor to the advancement and diversity of their communities. McKenzie Mayor Jill Holland
says Bethel University
brings students from all over the world, which helps the city to expand and provide more opportunities.
“Bethel University has been an economic, academic, and cultural anchor in the McKenzie and Carroll County communities since 1842. In addition to Tennessee residents, the school attracts students from across the globe who participate in the performing arts and the many sports programs.
In order to meet the diverse needs of these students, the city chose to expand and enhance our technology such as city-wide wi-fi. These investments have an added benefit of attracting those who are seeking a safe, family friendly environment to raise families yet still have the technological, educational, and cultural opportunities that life in a large city would offer.
The partnership between Bethel University and the City of McKenzie grows each year in so many areas and creates a win/win for all of us.”
