Meharry Medical College is making incredible efforts to fight COVID-19. TICUA wanted to spotlight the work they have done for the community and beyond. Here are some examples of their service:
- To help flatten the curve, Meharry Medical College is providing drive-through COVID-19 assessment at their Nashville campus Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am - 3pm.
- Meharry Medical College is joining others to find a treatment, since a vaccine may still be a year or more away. Meharry researchers are looking to identify an antiviral drug that will be effective in treating COVID-19.
- Meharry President Dr. James Hildreth is speaking up on a national stage about racial disparities and challenges minority communities are facing from this pandemic.
