ACT for Equity



VISION

Develop a collaborative, multi-structured partnership that will transform our campuses into inclusive spaces and empower those within these institutions to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in our college campus communities.

MISSION

ACT for Equity will facilitate communication across campuses, engage with community members at the student and faculty levels, and provide learning opportunities around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

GOALS

Our goals are to create a sustainable framework for institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts.

  • Develop and conduct a climate survey to determine member needs
  • Identify and establish a baseline for diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campuses
  • Establish the first cohort for TICUA ACT for Equity
  • Provide training and support for campus community members to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion work

 

ROLE OF MEMBER INSTITUTIONS

  • Complete the pre-launch survey
  • Determine if participation the TICUA ACT for Equity cohort is feasible, beneficial
  • Define diversity, equity and inclusion within the context of the institution’s mission
  • Contribute the institution’s experience with successes, challenges, and key learnings

  • ROLE OF TICUA

  • Commit to supporting members as they advance equity
  • Form an advisory group comprised of TICUA members
  • Serve as a convener for members
  • Assess the need for tools and resources for member institutions
  • Provide access to the necessary resources to advance equity on campus
  • Measure progress as an organization at advancing equity on member campuses
  • Report out key findings, highlight success stories, and encourage members on their journey
