Session will provide Fellows with the opportunity to better understand:

  1. the president’s role in the design and implementation of strategic planning efforts
  2. how the president and senior leadership team can be sensitive to organizational culture and the important traditions of the institution while encouraging and managing change.
  3. how the president and senior leadership team should think about, organize, and implement planning and change while honoring and integrity of the institution’s mission.
  4. the role the president and senior leadership team in developing, implementing, and sustaining institutional performance indicators (assessment and evaluation).
  5. how the president selects and develops the senior staff into an effective working leadership team while considering succession planning.
  6. how the president pushes the senior leadership to move beyond their “comfort zone” while leading their areas of responsibility.
